MOROCCAN INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS: A FIRST EDITION THAT CONSACRATES INTERIOR DESIGN AS A MAJOR CHALLENGE IN MOROCCO
Moroccan interior design now has its own showcase. The first edition of the Moroccan Interior Design Awards (MIDA) was held on Wednesday 17 December 2025 at the Hyatt Regency Casablanca, marking the birth of a unique event dedicated to a sector that has long been discreet but is fundamental to the transformation of contemporary living spaces. Supported by the Archimedia Group and placed under the aegis of the Ministry of National Land Development, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, the MIDA has established itself from the outset as a structuring event, revealing a creative ecosystem in full swing.
A NEW OBSERVATORY OF COMFORT, USES AND AESTHETICS
Homes, hotels, restaurants, offices, healthcare facilities and cultural spaces: by highlighting the projects that shape the Kingdom’s interiors, the MIDA awards offer a unique insight into the evolution of lifestyles, uses and aesthetics in Morocco. This first edition lays the foundations for a platform that is set to become a keen observer of emerging practices, expertise and creative dynamics that are reshaping the national interior design landscape.
73 NOMINEES, 19 WINNERS: A SECTOR ON THE MOVE
The inaugural edition confirms the growing interest in the discipline. From over a hundred entries, 73 projects were selected and announced in October, competing in 16 categories and 3 special awards. Composed of renowned figures from the worlds of design, architecture and education, the jury selected 19 winners, whose achievements reflect the diversity of approaches, the quality of the projects and the creative vitality of the sector in Morocco.
A PLATFORM TO STRUCTURE AND PROMOTE THE ECOSYSTEM
By creating a space for recognition, visibility and analysis, the Moroccan Interior Design Awards aim to support the structuring of a rapidly emerging ecosystem and, year after year, enrich the interpretation of interior design as it is expressed in Morocco. This first edition marks a turning point: it confirms the need for a unifying event, finally offering the sector a place for reflection, recognition and projection that had been lacking until now.
