O principal objectivo por detr\u00e1s desta proposta urbana \u00e9 aumentar a consci\u00eancia da arquitectura verde sustent\u00e1vel para lutar contra o aquecimento global a fim de manter uma Terra amiga do ambiente para a nossa pr\u00f3xima gera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p><p>O projecto mostra uma grande ambi\u00e7\u00e3o em energia e tecnologia verdes. Um telhado solar cobrindo a \u00e1rea comercial, terra\u00e7os verdes e moradias no c\u00e9u unificam parcialmente todo o complexo arquitect\u00f3nico. Este telhado oferece a possibilidade de maximizar a energia verde; fornecendo sombra quando necess\u00e1rio, diminuindo assim a procura em ventila\u00e7\u00e3o mec\u00e2nica. Este telhado \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m o suporte para os pain\u00e9is solares e tubos de aquecimento solar, e para os jardins verticais verdes.<\/p><h6><strong>Volumetria do Projecto<\/strong><\/h6><p>Volumetricamente, o &#8220;Gate Residence&#8221; est\u00e1 organizado em torno de uma rua central chamada &#8220;The Boulevard&#8221; actuando virtualmente como a espinha dorsal do projecto habitacional. Os 1000 apartamentos est\u00e3o organizados em edif\u00edcios rectangulares regulares, as formas em &#8220;U&#8221;, anexados \u00e0 rua central.<\/p><p>O objectivo \u00e9 criar um marco sustent\u00e1vel no Novo Cairo, transformando esta eficiente massa de edif\u00edcios, multiplicando as vistas de perspectiva para as ruas, num enorme o\u00e1sis urbano. As fachadas dos 9 andares das casas s\u00e3o concebidas como uma sedimenta\u00e7\u00e3o horizontal de vidro e-low e pedra branca polida. Em ambas as extremidades, as fachadas s\u00e3o inspiradas pelas guelras de peixe que actuam como guarda-s\u00f3is. \u00c0 volta, juntas ocas lineares em a\u00e7o esticam horizontalmente todos os blocos para manter um elegante volume global de constru\u00e7\u00e3o. Todas as varandas s\u00e3o transformadas em jardins suspensos pela integra\u00e7\u00e3o de canteiros de planta\u00e7\u00e3o ao longo do per\u00edmetro das fachadas, a fim de criar cascatas verdes que caem em cada p\u00e1tio.<\/p><p>Abaixo dos 9 n\u00edveis de habita\u00e7\u00e3o, os 3 n\u00edveis comerciais acima do grau apresentam duas tipologias de fachadas:<\/p><p>Um muro cortina transparente \u00e9 colocado ao longo da Promenade e ao longo da Back Street e da Nozha Street. Este muro cortina \u00e9 pontuado por paredes verdes indicando as entradas principais em direc\u00e7\u00e3o ao centro comercial e os lobbies de cada bloco de apartamentos. No interior dos p\u00e1tios, as fachadas s\u00e3o desenvolvidas com uma estrutura de vorono\u00ef apresentando formas org\u00e2nicas inspiradas na estrutura de um recife de coral com uma densidade progressiva desde a base at\u00e9 ao topo. Estas fachadas s\u00e3o ligadas por pontes de p\u00e9 que atravessam os terra\u00e7os verdes. Estes terra\u00e7os verdes dentro de cada p\u00e1tio s\u00e3o cobertos por uma tela de vorono\u00ef para o crescimento de plantas trepadeiras a fim de limitar as vistas indiscretas entre os pisos comerciais e os pisos habitacionais. Este ecr\u00e3 de vorono\u00ef est\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m integrado ao longo da rua interior entre os pisos dos escrit\u00f3rios e os pisos das habita\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p><p>O telhado de todo o complexo \u00e9 transformado num grande jardim comunit\u00e1rio no c\u00e9u eg\u00edpcio. As duas parcelas est\u00e3o ligadas por pontes de p\u00e9s do c\u00e9u. O telhado torna-se a quinta fachada do projecto e uma \u00e1rea de recreio comum de hortas alimentares, pomares, piscinas infinitas e \u00e1rea desportiva para todas as fam\u00edlias que vivem neste projecto.<\/p><p>A ambi\u00e7\u00e3o do Projecto Portal \u00e9 criar um novo prot\u00f3tipo de ecosistema habitado que combine os princ\u00edpios do passivhaus e da tecnologia das energias renov\u00e1veis para assegurar 50% de poupan\u00e7a de energia. Esta segunda pele em a\u00e7o branco e cabos permite integrar no telhado as c\u00e9lulas fotovoltaicas, os tubos t\u00e9rmicos, e as paredes vivas verticais. A superf\u00edcie horizontal do telhado \u00e9 transformada em \u00e1rvores gigantes a fim de descer, em direc\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 cave, as cargas da estrutura.<\/p><p>Estas Meg\u00e1rvores tornam-se a forte identidade escult\u00f3rica do projecto, mas s\u00e3o inicialmente concebidas para ventilar naturalmente todos os espa\u00e7os da cave e para refrescar naturalmente os p\u00e1tios e a rua interior. Ao longo da Back Street e da Nozha Street, a estrutura do telhado torna-se um guarda-sol vertical e uma barreira sonora para proteger os residentes do sol e do ru\u00eddo.<\/p><h6><strong>Caracter\u00edsticas Arquitect\u00f3nicas Verdes<\/strong><\/h6><p>O projecto Gate \u00e9 o justo equil\u00edbrio entre uma distribui\u00e7\u00e3o muito eficiente de 1000 apartamentos e uma identidade muito contempor\u00e2nea e sustent\u00e1vel. Quebra-ventos<\/strong><\/h6><p>Os apanhadores de vento s\u00e3o conhecidos na arquitectura tradicional eg\u00edpcia do Antigo Egipto, como demonstrado em Windcatchers na casa faroniana de Neb-Ammun, Egipto, 19\u00aa Dinastia, Museu Brit\u00e2nico. Foi reavivado na arquitectura neo-isl\u00e2mica como as obras de Hassan Fathy.<\/p><p>No Egipto, os apanhadores de vento s\u00e3o conhecidos como &#8220;Malqaf&#8221;. Turbinas E\u00f3licas de Eixo Vertical<\/strong><\/h6><p>As turbinas e\u00f3licas de eixo vertical s\u00e3o um tipo de turbina e\u00f3lica em que o eixo principal do rotor \u00e9 colocado verticalmente e os componentes principais est\u00e3o localizados na base da turbina.<\/p><p>Esta disposi\u00e7\u00e3o permite que o gerador e a caixa de velocidades estejam situados perto do solo, facilitando a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o e repara\u00e7\u00e3o. Os principais inconvenientes para os primeiros desenhos (Savonius, Darrieus e giromill) inclu\u00edam a varia\u00e7\u00e3o significativa do bin\u00e1rio durante cada revolu\u00e7\u00e3o, e os enormes momentos de flex\u00e3o nas p\u00e1s. Os desenhos posteriores resolveram o problema do torque, fornecendo tor\u00e7\u00e3o helicoidal nas l\u00e2minas.<\/p><p>Estas turbinas e\u00f3licas helicoidais torcidas est\u00e3o localizadas no projecto ao longo da rua interior do telhado, a fim de beneficiar dos ventos predominantes e gerar um m\u00e1ximo de electricidade. Jardins comunit\u00e1rios no telhado<\/strong><\/h6><p>As hortas comunit\u00e1rias fornecem produtos e plantas frescas, bem como trabalho satisfat\u00f3rio, melhoria da vizinhan\u00e7a, sentido de comunidade e liga\u00e7\u00e3o ao ambiente.<\/p><p>As hortas comunit\u00e1rias podem ajudar a atenuar um efeito das altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas, que se espera venha a causar um decl\u00ednio global da produ\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola, tornando os produtos frescos cada vez mais inacess\u00edveis.<\/p><p>As hortas comunit\u00e1rias melhoram a sa\u00fade dos utilizadores atrav\u00e9s do aumento do consumo de vegetais frescos e do fornecimento de um local para exerc\u00edcio. As hortas tamb\u00e9m lutam contra duas formas de aliena\u00e7\u00e3o que atormentam a vida urbana moderna, aproximando os jardineiros urbanos da fonte dos seus alimentos, e quebrando o isolamento criando ent\u00e3o uma comunidade social.<\/p><p>No projecto Gate, propomos assim transformar o telhado num novo lugar inovador para a vida social de todos os residentes do projecto. Este grande jardim no c\u00e9u ir\u00e1 integrar parques infantis, \u00e1reas desportivas, jardins de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e pomares.
