YMAA 2026 are officially launched!
After two successful editions, the Young Moroccan Architecture Awards returns with its 3rd edition – the premier platform for young Moroccan architecture.
Open to architects under 45 years old, this national competition with international reach will reward innovation and excellence across 19 categories, 4 special distinctions and 2 Student Prizes.
Main Categories include:
Special Zévaco Prize, Cultural Space, Health & Wellness, Education, Individual Residential Real Estate, Retail & Commercial Architecture, Leisure & Tourism, Interior Design & Decoration, Single Family House, Renovation & Rehabilitation, Office Building, Sustainable & Environmental Building, First Work, Collective Housing, Young African Architect, Moroccan Architect Abroad, Landscape Architecture, Architect Designer of the Year, Hors Catégorie.
Special Distinctions:
Building of the Year, Public’s Favorite, Jury’s Favorite, Prix Fouad Akalay (in tribute to the founder).
Student Prizes:
Best Female Final Project (PFE), Best Male Final Project (PFE)
Exceptional Jury chaired by Abdou Lahlou, alongside renowned personalities including Chakib Benabdallah, Madison Cox, Fodé Diop, Ahmed Laaroussi, Fatime-Zahra Morjani, Tarik Oualalou, Joris Pauwels, Manal Rachdi, and Christoph Röttinger.
